Mission Statement

Museum of the Horse Soldier endeavors to preserve the history and heritage of U.S. mounted services and recognize the horse's contribution to U.S. military history. The museum fulfills its mission by:

  • Exploring all areas of U.S. mounted services from inception to conclusion.
  • Providing exhibits, research material, and educational programs, in order to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Collecting, preserving, and interpreting historical artifacts, photographs, and related ephemera.
